The construction of the Porto new Custom-House on Miragaia Beach was planned in 1859, by the French architect Jean F. G. Colson. The building has an enclosed area of 36.000m2 and is made up of three main sections, displaying façades that clearly show their functions. Today it is also the head office of the Transports and Communications Museum Association.
